The Alan Munshower Trio, from Baltimore, Maryland breathes new life into old jazz standards through focused lyricism and creative improvisation.  Comprised of drummer Alan Munshower, bassist Jake Leckie, and trumpeter Emma Stanley, the trio has honed their collective sound over the past few years, playing in and around the Baltimore/DC area.  The subtle dynamics of the three acoustic instruments provides the perfect dinner atmosphere, never disturbing a quiet conversation, but with enough energy and heart to satisfy the jazz fans in attendance. 

For a week this summer, the trio will be serving as ‘Artists in Residence’ at Silver Lake Conference Center in Sharon, CT, where they will be volunteering their expertise in teaching campers in grades 4 - 12 about improvisation and composition.  The group is looking to supplement some of the teaching with performances in the area.

The Alan Munshower Trio is currently booking dates in Northwestern CT, and Western MA for June 29th - July 10th 2008.
